I'm doing the grown-up version of coloring books now! But this time I have to color in the lines.. /sigh. I'm excited though for the most part. Me and Eric Canete (pencil ink dude) are trying to kick some major booty since we're picking up from The End League #1-4, doing #5-8.

We went to Seattle this past weekend to Emerald City Comicon and it was pretty fun, especially hanging out with Dustin Nguyen, Tu Nguyen and Esther!! And meeting Rick Remender the writer of TEL and other people at DarkHorse... good times!

I guess the next thing coming up is San Diego Comicon.. I'm gonna' try and get in on some covers somewheres, meheheheeee ;3

I start classes at Gnomon March 31st.

Drawing is fun.

I've noticed that a lot of people tend to psyche themselves out of doing things, you know.. like how they freak out about the actual thought so long that it prevents them from actually DOING what it is. I'm sure it applies to a lot of other things, but I'm kinda talking about school and artkids, and even myself! It's hard to get over that hurdle because you're thinking like WTF THAT HURDLE is like 7 foot tall no one jumps over that omgz** OMG 5 bajillionzillionchrillion thumbnails!!! I think once you have that thought you have to switch a flip and pick up a pencil and start drawing anything, lines, circles, etc, until you get something. Some kids don't, and then they don't do it AT ALL. o_o

Starting on the concept art for this project I'm working on I went through the exact same thing. I mulled over the idea that it was for real for real not for school and for many others to see and criticize and then they relate it to you and then it just goes from there, ya know the deal.. I must have mulled for at least a half hour getting a headache before a friend said "just pick up your pencil and f'n draw, DRAWWWWWRR!" That's paraphrased of course.. So I did. And it's been somewhat smooth sailing from there.

So, quit picking at the retarded details, it's hot in the room, my head hurts, my pencil doesn't have the right lead, my monitor isn't calibrated, blah blah... and just do it. -_-;;; sigh lol, yes I guess like Nike said. Do they still say that? :<
